This modern outdoor pillar light combines a black stainless steel structure with an acrylic shade, creating a clean architectural composition for garden fences, terraces, courtyards, pathways and exterior pillars. An open outer frame surrounds the illuminated inner volume, giving the fixture a layered sense of depth without decorative excess.
Two proportions are available: the Short size stands 11.8″ (30 cm) high, while the Tall size reaches 19.7″ (50 cm). Both feature an 8.3″ (21.1 cm) upper body width and a 9.8″ (24.9 cm) base measurement. Separate solar and hardwired configurations are available with warm white 3000K LED illumination.
Design & Illumination
An illuminated inner volume framed by open black geometry
The outer stainless steel frame creates a strong vertical outline around the more compact illuminated centre, producing depth through negative space rather than ornament. The Tall and Short versions use the same visual language at two distinctly different heights.
Black stainless steel gives the fixture its structural definition, while the high-transparency acrylic shade diffuses the LED light within the inner lantern. The result is a clear contrast between dark architectural lines and a softer glowing centre.

A more compact vertical proportion for lower posts, fence structures and exterior areas where a restrained profile is preferred.
The taller configuration creates stronger vertical emphasis on pillars, pathways and more prominent exterior settings.
Power Options
Solar convenience or fixed hardwired operation
Under suitable sunlight conditions, the solar configuration charges in approximately 4–6 hours and provides approximately 8 hours of illumination after a full charge. Remote control operation is included.
The hardwired configuration operates at 110–220V and is controlled through a wall switch for fixed exterior installation.
Lighting Character
Warm 3000K diffusion within a framed inner lantern
Warm white 3000K LED illumination creates a softer exterior atmosphere across gardens, courtyards, terraces and pathways. The acrylic shade diffuses the light through the inner lantern, helping reduce the harshness of the visible source.
The open outer stainless steel frame remains visually separate from the glowing centre, giving the fixture a layered appearance that is equally defined when illuminated and switched off.

Pillar lights are fixtures designed to mount on top of or onto the face of brick, stone, or rendered pillars, posts, and gate columns. They're commonly used at driveway entrances, garden gates, fence posts, and courtyard columns — providing both functional lighting and a strong architectural statement at entry points.
Yes. Pillar lights are built for permanent outdoor exposure. Check for an IP44 rating minimum for covered or sheltered pillars, and IP65 or higher for fully exposed installations. The IP rating for each fixture is listed on the product page.
Most pillar lights are hardwired into a 120V (US) or 240V (AU) outdoor circuit, with the cable routed through or along the pillar. Some post-top models sit over a hollow post with wiring fed through the centre. We recommend a licensed electrician for all hardwired outdoor installations.
Most of our pillar lights use integrated LED, so no bulb changes are ever needed. Integrated LEDs are rated for 50,000+ hours. Where a fixture takes a replaceable bulb, the compatible type and fitting size are listed on the product page.
As a general rule, the fixture should be no wider than the pillar face it sits on. Post-top models list the compatible post diameter in their specs. For gate pillars and columns, taller lantern-style fixtures tend to be the most proportionate. Full dimensions are listed on every product page.

Yes. As long as the fixture is hardwired, it can be controlled by any compatible timer switch, smart switch, or home automation system wired into the same circuit. If you also want brightness control, ensure the fixture is dimmable and paired with a compatible dimmer.
