This modern outdoor pillar light combines a black die-cast aluminium body with high-transparency glass, creating a structured lantern for courtyard fence posts, garden gates, pathways and entrance pillars. Horizontal bands wrap around the illuminated centre, introducing visual rhythm while giving the fixture a substantial, architectural presence from multiple viewing angles.
Three sizes are available, ranging from L 9.8″ × W 9.8″ × H 8.7″ (24.9 × 24.9 × H 22.1 cm) through to L 15.7″ × W 15.7″ × H 11.8″ (39.9 × 39.9 × H 30 cm). Separate solar and hardwired configurations are available, both using integrated LED lighting with warm white 3000K illumination.

Horizontal bands shape light, shadow and architectural depth
Repeated horizontal bands wrap around the lantern body, breaking the illuminated glass into a sequence of bright and shadowed sections. This layered construction gives the fixture a more dimensional appearance while retaining a clean square silhouette.
The die-cast aluminium frame provides the dark structural outline, while high-transparency glass allows illumination to remain clearly visible between the horizontal elements. The contrast becomes particularly pronounced after dark, when the frame reads against the brighter inner surfaces.

Power Options
Solar flexibility or a fixed hardwired connection
The solar configuration provides an alternative for suitable outdoor positions where installation without a mains electrical connection is preferred. Automatic light sensing and remote control are available depending on the selected configuration.
The hardwired configuration operates at 110–220V and is controlled through a wall switch for fixed exterior installation.

Simple care for aluminium and glass surfaces
Clean the fixture using a soft, dry or lightly dampened cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners. For hardwired installations, isolate electrical power before cleaning.

Pillar lights are fixtures designed to mount on top of or onto the face of brick, stone, or rendered pillars, posts, and gate columns. They're commonly used at driveway entrances, garden gates, fence posts, and courtyard columns — providing both functional lighting and a strong architectural statement at entry points.
Yes. Pillar lights are built for permanent outdoor exposure. Check for an IP44 rating minimum for covered or sheltered pillars, and IP65 or higher for fully exposed installations. The IP rating for each fixture is listed on the product page.
Most pillar lights are hardwired into a 120V (US) or 240V (AU) outdoor circuit, with the cable routed through or along the pillar. Some post-top models sit over a hollow post with wiring fed through the centre. We recommend a licensed electrician for all hardwired outdoor installations.
Most of our pillar lights use integrated LED, so no bulb changes are ever needed. Integrated LEDs are rated for 50,000+ hours. Where a fixture takes a replaceable bulb, the compatible type and fitting size are listed on the product page.
As a general rule, the fixture should be no wider than the pillar face it sits on. Post-top models list the compatible post diameter in their specs. For gate pillars and columns, taller lantern-style fixtures tend to be the most proportionate. Full dimensions are listed on every product page.
A good starting point is matching the finish to your front door hardware — black, brushed nickel, bronze, or brass. Clean geometric profiles suit contemporary homes; lantern shapes suit federation, colonial, or classic brick builds. Some models support dimming, some do not — this is listed on each product page. Dimmable fixtures require a compatible outdoor dimmer and may not work with all dimmer brands or smart home systems.
Yes. As long as the fixture is hardwired, it can be controlled by any compatible timer switch, smart switch, or home automation system wired into the same circuit. If you also want brightness control, ensure the fixture is dimmable and paired with a compatible dimmer.
