This modern outdoor pillar light combines a black stainless steel body with an acrylic lighting element, creating an open architectural frame for garden fences, driveway posts, protected pathways and villa entrances. The illuminated lower plane sits beneath a largely open centre, giving the fixture a visually light character while maintaining a strong square outline.
Three sizes range from L 9.8″ × W 9.8″ × H 10.6″ (24.9 × 24.9 × H 26.9 cm) through to L 15.7″ × W 15.7″ × H 16.5″ (39.9 × 39.9 × H 41.9 cm). Separate solar and hardwired configurations are available, both using integrated LED lighting with warm white 3000K illumination. The fixture carries an IP54 rating and is intended for covered and semi-outdoor applications.
Design & Illumination
A hollow architectural frame with a softly illuminated base
The square outer frame creates a strong visual boundary while leaving the centre largely open. This negative space keeps the fixture visually lighter than a fully enclosed lantern and allows the surrounding architecture to remain visible through the body.
Black stainless steel provides the structural frame, while acrylic forms the illuminated element around the lower portion of the fixture. Warm light is directed into the base area, creating a soft pool of illumination without filling the entire body with brightness.

Solar flexibility or fixed hardwired operation
The solar configuration provides a 4W lighting option for suitable locations where installation without a mains electrical connection is preferred. Remote control is available depending on the selected configuration.
The hardwired configuration operates at 110–240V with 6W, 8W or 10W power depending on the selected size, and is controlled through a wall switch.
Lighting Character
Warm 3000K light contained within an open frame
The integrated LED provides warm white 3000K illumination, creating a softer ambient effect around posts, pathways and entrance areas. The light is concentrated around the lower interior of the frame rather than filling the entire lantern body.
This combination of negative space and warm illumination gives the fixture a lighter visual presence while still defining the surrounding architectural surface after dark.

Professional installation recommended for the hardwired configuration. Electrical installation should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician and in accordance with applicable local electrical requirements.

Pillar lights are fixtures designed to mount on top of or onto the face of brick, stone, or rendered pillars, posts, and gate columns. They're commonly used at driveway entrances, garden gates, fence posts, and courtyard columns — providing both functional lighting and a strong architectural statement at entry points.
Yes. Pillar lights are built for permanent outdoor exposure. Check for an IP44 rating minimum for covered or sheltered pillars, and IP65 or higher for fully exposed installations. The IP rating for each fixture is listed on the product page.
Most pillar lights are hardwired into a 120V (US) or 240V (AU) outdoor circuit, with the cable routed through or along the pillar. Some post-top models sit over a hollow post with wiring fed through the centre. We recommend a licensed electrician for all hardwired outdoor installations.
Most of our pillar lights use integrated LED, so no bulb changes are ever needed. Integrated LEDs are rated for 50,000+ hours. Where a fixture takes a replaceable bulb, the compatible type and fitting size are listed on the product page.
As a general rule, the fixture should be no wider than the pillar face it sits on. Post-top models list the compatible post diameter in their specs. For gate pillars and columns, taller lantern-style fixtures tend to be the most proportionate. Full dimensions are listed on every product page.

Clean geometric profiles suit contemporary homes; lantern shapes suit federation, colonial, or classic brick builds. Yes. As long as the fixture is hardwired, it can be controlled by any compatible timer switch, smart switch, or home automation system wired into the same circuit. If you also want brightness control, ensure the fixture is dimmable and paired with a compatible dimmer.
