Contemporary Floor Lighting

Edinburgh Floor Lamp — Sculptural Colour & Refined Geometry

The Edinburgh Floor Lamp brings together the clarity of modern metalwork and the expressive character of coloured acrylic. A softly rounded dome shade sits above a slender, chrome-finished iron stem and circular base, creating a balanced silhouette with a distinctive architectural presence. Its combination of reflective metal and translucent colour introduces a considered contrast, equally suited to restrained contemporary interiors and more eclectic spaces.

The 35 cm diameter acrylic shade filters light through its coloured surface, creating a gentle interplay between illumination, transparency and tone. Available in 120 cm and 150 cm heights, Edinburgh offers two proportions for different furniture arrangements and interior settings. A replaceable E26 or E27 bulb is included, while the plug-in configuration makes the lamp a practical choice for living rooms, bedrooms and studies.

01 Coloured Acrylic Translucent dome shade with a softly filtered lighting effect.

02 Chrome Finish Slender iron construction with a reflective metallic finish.

03 Two Heights 120 cm and 150 cm options with a 35 cm diameter shade.

04 Bulb Included Single E26 or E27 bulb fitting with a bulb supplied.

Design & Material

A study in proportion, reflection and colour

A distinctive dome silhouette

Edinburgh's defining feature is its broad, rounded acrylic shade. The dome introduces a generous horizontal element to an otherwise slender composition, giving the lamp a recognisable profile without excessive visual weight. Its smooth, curved surface creates a subtle contrast with the straight lines of the supporting stem.

Reflective metal and translucent acrylic

The chrome-finished iron structure introduces a crisp metallic accent, while the coloured acrylic shade adds depth and visual softness. The round base reinforces the lamp's geometric simplicity, allowing the interplay between material finishes and the illuminated shade to remain the central design feature.

Dimensions

Two heights with a consistent dome proportion

Edinburgh is offered in two overall heights, each featuring a 35 cm diameter shade. The 120 cm version creates a more compact arrangement beside furniture, while the 150 cm version provides additional vertical presence. Both sizes retain the same characteristic dome shape and circular base.

Finish Options

Three expressions of translucent colour

The Edinburgh Floor Lamp is available with three acrylic shade colours, each paired with the chrome-finished structure. The shade colour influences both its decorative character when unlit and the appearance of light passing through the acrylic.

Shade Finish 01 Brown Acrylic

A rich, amber-brown appearance that introduces visual warmth and complements timber, leather and earthy interior palettes.

Shade Finish 02 Lake Green Acrylic

A muted green tone that brings a distinctive colour accent to neutral interiors and spaces with natural materials.

Shade Finish 03 Blue Acrylic

A cool-toned acrylic finish that creates a more expressive contrast against the reflective chrome structure.

Lighting Character

Atmospheric illumination through coloured acrylic

The rounded shade provides a decorative lighting effect, allowing illumination to interact with its translucent surface. The coloured acrylic lends depth to the visible glow, while the open underside of the dome allows light to reach the surrounding area. This combination makes Edinburgh particularly suited to ambient lighting and creating visual interest beside furniture.

The lamp accommodates a single E26 or E27 replaceable bulb, with one bulb included. The fitting is compatible with appropriate dimming arrangements when used with a suitable dimmable bulb and control, allowing the light level to be adjusted where the electrical configuration supports it.

Placement

A sculptural accent for considered interiors

With its slender stem, compact circular base and distinctive dome shade, Edinburgh can be positioned alongside existing furniture without overwhelming the surrounding arrangement. Its coloured acrylic also gives the lamp a decorative role during daylight hours.

Living Rooms Position beside a sofa, occasional chair or in a quiet corner to introduce layered illumination and a refined colour accent.

Bedrooms Use alongside a bedside arrangement or lounge chair to add atmospheric lighting and a distinctive decorative silhouette.

Studies & Lounges Complement bookcases, timber furniture and contemporary seating with the contrast of polished metal and coloured acrylic.

Setup & Power

Freestanding plug-in convenience

Edinburgh is a freestanding floor lamp designed for plug-in operation. The 150 cm power cord allows the lamp to be positioned near a suitable electrical outlet, making it practical for furnished rooms where a fixed lighting installation is not required.

Assembly required. Assemble the lamp securely according to the supplied instructions, ensuring the stem and base are correctly connected before use.

Position the lamp on a stable, level surface and use an electrical outlet appropriate for the supplied plug configuration.

Care

Maintaining the finish and acrylic shade

Disconnect the lamp from its power supply and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. Gently remove dust from the acrylic shade and chrome-finished surfaces using a soft, dry cloth. Where necessary, use a lightly dampened cloth and dry the surface carefully afterwards.

Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals and household cleaning products that may mark the acrylic or affect the finish. Do not immerse the lamp or its electrical components in water.
