The Calliope Wall Sconce brings together the organic character of Spanish alabaster and the precision of architectural metal detailing. Its elongated white stone form is held within a restrained arrangement of metal brackets, creating a distinctive balance between natural texture and structured geometry. The result is a wall light with a considered, sculptural presence, equally compelling when illuminated or switched off.
Integrated LED illumination passes through the translucent alabaster, revealing its individual veining and producing a softly diffused glow. Available in two vertical proportions, 60 cm and 80 cm high, with Black or Copper detailing and three selectable colour temperatures, Calliope offers flexibility for both intimate residential settings and more expansive architectural interiors.

The character of alabaster
The white Spanish alabaster introduces a quietly expressive surface, with subtle variations in pattern and tone that become more apparent when light passes through the stone. Its natural translucency softens the illuminated surface, while the individual mineral markings give each fixture a distinct appearance. Variations in veining are an inherent feature of the material.
Architectural metal detailing
The slender stone element is complemented by a metal backplate and contrasting retaining brackets. These structural accents interrupt the otherwise continuous vertical silhouette, introducing a deliberate geometric rhythm. Black detailing offers a stronger graphic contrast, while Copper provides a warmer visual relationship with the pale alabaster.

Soft, material-led illumination
Rather than presenting the light source as the dominant visual element, Calliope uses its alabaster body as the illuminated surface. The stone diffuses the integrated LED light, producing a gentler luminous appearance and allowing the material's natural markings to emerge.
A presence beyond illumination
The elongated proportions and restrained metalwork provide a strong visual identity even during daylight hours. When illuminated, the sconce takes on a different character as the white stone becomes softly luminous, adding depth and atmosphere to the surrounding wall.

Installation
Wall-mounted, hardwired installation
Calliope is designed for hardwired wall installation and operation through a compatible standard wall switch. The fixture has an IP20 rating and is intended for indoor use. It is not waterproof.
Professional installation recommended. Electrical installation should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician and in accordance with applicable local electrical requirements.
Care
Preserving the character of natural alabaster
Switch off the power before cleaning. Gently remove surface dust using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning pads, harsh chemicals and excessive moisture on the stone and metal surfaces.
As alabaster is a naturally occurring material, variations in veining, translucency and tonal distribution are part of its individual character. These differences make each fixture visually distinctive.
